Mr. Vickers is a shareholder in the firm of Martinec, Winn, Vickers & McElroy, P.C., practicing in the civil trial/appellate litigation and ad valorem tax areas.
Admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984; also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas. Preparatory Education, University of Texas at Austin (B.B.A., 1976); Legal Education, South Texas College of Law (J.D., 1984).
Mr. Vickers' clients include the Hays County Appraisal District (has also represented the Caldwell County Appraisal District and Hays Consolidated Independent School District). Reported cases in tax areas include Hays County Appraisal District v. Mayo Kirby Springs, 903 S.W.2d 394 (Tex. App. - Austin, 1995, appeal after remand 1997 WL 703124); Hays County Appraisal District v. Southwest Texas State University, et al; 973 S.W.2d 419 (Tex. App. - Austin, 1998, no writ).
